Types of Funds
-
Donor Advised
A simple, flexible way to give to the causes you care about. It allows you to steer your giving to where you want to make a difference, while leaving the administrative tasks to COFONC.
-
Field of Interest
A field of interest fund supports a specific issue area. For those who wish to support a cause but don’t want to be involved with specific grantmaking details, this is an excellent option, and means you contribute with other donors who share your interest.
-
Endowed
You can assign your gift or part of your gift to our Endowment Fund, to ensure long-term support for the communities and nonprofits of Western Nevada County. COFONC will steward funds to grow for long term growth.
-
Agency Funds
COFONC can help your nonprofit build an endowment or plan for a capital project. We invest your funds according to your time horizon and needs. Agency funds remain the assets of the agency.
-
Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust is an irrevocable trust that is set up by you as the donor to provide a steady income stream for you or other beneficiaries, with the remainder of the donated assets going to your favorite charity or charities.
-
Scholarship
Giving or creating a scholarship fund is a joyful way of contributing to the future of our community. We are excited to offer this service to our community in 2026.
